This topic is dedicated to the best goalkeeper of all-time: Heurelho da Silva Gomes!
Currently the most popular player in Eindhoven and the most feared person in the rest of the Netherlands, Heurelho Gomes is unstoppable. When people ask me, what is the difference between Gomes and other worldclass keepers, I'll say that although a Buffon or Cannizares have unbelievable great reactions, Gomes can fly. Lately coaches have been giving huge credits to Heurelho Gomes. I'll list some quotes:
Aad de Mos (Trainer Vitesse): "We didn't lose to PSV. We lost to Gomes"
Ronald Koeman (Trainer PSV): "Gomes is a worldclass keeper! He will save every ball. You can only score when you aim balls at the top corner with a speed of 130 km/h"
