Just as in the Valencia forum, a topic to talk about possible transfers. I'll start with the main points of Koeman's press conference about the transfers.

-PSV wants to loan out Aissati, Beerens, De Bock, Nguyen, Carrizo and Pla this winter. Beerens and the Bock will return to PSV II when they don't find a club.

I think it's good to loan out Aissati. He is a talented player, and it would be good if he got some real experience. About Beerens I'm not so sure. From what I've seen so far, he's a nice player, and could be useful this season, since PSV only has a few forwards. I don't know that much about the rest.

-Ball, Lamey and Smit are allowed to leave. Reiziger and Addo also aren't too sure about their future either, but Koeman still is quite positive about them. It is said Ball already spoke with Sheffield United a few weeks ago.

Good decision, they're not good enough IMO. Same for Reiziger and Addo actually, I wouldn't mind to see them leaving either.

-The players Salas and Belhadj have been tested by PSV, but both are considered not good enough. Brazilian defender Alcides is close to a contract though.

-In the end Koeman wants a selection of 23/24 players, with two new attackers and a new left-back.

The transfer of Alcides is official now, according to De Telegraaf (PSV hasn't confirmed it on their website yet). He is hired from Chelsea until summer 2008. I heard many good things about him, so I hope this is true.

Anderlecht is said to be interested in Lamey.

Edit: I totally forgot to mention it in the first post, but Koeman is also watching some old PSV-players (I'm thinking about Zenden, Bouma and Hofland)

They should get van der Vaart! And I think it's a real possibility because
1) van der Vaart wants to leave Hamburg
2) van der Vaart might be willing to come to PSV
3) Koeman knows van der Vaart (had a few minor arguments though)
4) PSV will like another Dutch player in their squad!

With Afellay on the right-midfield and van der Vaart on the left; that would be fantastic football we'd be going to see!

He said several times he wanted a team with a dutch core. Here's an article from Brabants Dagblad:

We willen een kern van Nederlanders behouden. Dan denk je ook aan oud-spelers van PSV die in het buitenland spelen, zoals Zenden en Bouma.“

About Hofland and Bouma, I haven't seen them playing for a long while, but I only hear bad stories about them. Zenden would be a good addition to the team IMO.



And you want to use Cocu in the deal?

Cocu will probably retire or slowly build down next season. It's no use to buy van der Vaart now as PSV wouldn't be able to use him in the Champions League. But I was thinking of van der Vaart as replacement of Cocu!

OK, next season I can understand. I don't think PSV can find a 'new Cocu' anyway. A new Dutch player who can immediately lead the team, and has the same abilities? I think Zenden comes closest to this role, but he's no Cocu either. So for next season Van der Vaart could be very useful.

Jonathan Reis will come to PSV for 5 seasons, starting at the first of juli.

Robert will come back from Sevilla, at the end of this season.

Wederson doesn't seem to come to PSV, he is too expensive. Not really surprising, since Galatasaray couldn't afford him either, but he is said to be a really good left-back. So no Maxwell, no Belhadj and no Wederson, who's next? Bouma?

Further PSV made an offer for Vitesse's striker Lazovic, but Vitesse immediately refused it. The asked prize is way too high for PSV.

And both Betis and Tigres are interested in buying Robert, so it is possible he won't return to PSV at the end of the season.

Indeed. If van der Vaart wants to go back to Holland and Ajax doesn't want him; he'll never go for a subtopper. That leaves PSV so he can be rejoined with Kluivert and play fantastic football there and become dutch champions once again . Offcourse playing CL is another reason for vd.Vaart to come to PSV (if he wants to come to holland again!) because we all know already Ajax sucked bigtime against FC Kopenhagen last 'year' and will suck next season too; if they continue like this xD

CL football for VDV is impossible this year if he join PSV this season,because he already played with HSV in the CL,and Koeman and VDV had big problems with eachother when he was the Ajax captain.

PSV shows great ambition by looking for players of this level. But in the end, I think he really is too expensive. PSV probably doesn't have a player who even comes near the salary Luque earns. On the other hand, if Newcastle is that desperate, maybe he will come after all.

And something else: Michael Lamey, Arvid Smit, Lee Nguyen and Michael Ball have been removed out of PSV's first squad. Although I won't miss them, especially the left-back position needs a new player. Who could it be?

About Aissati, he is most likely to go to FC Twente now. Only thing is, Twente wants him 1,5 season, while PSV only wants to loan him for half a season.

This is the last season PSV hires him. After that he has nothing to do with PSV anymore, unless they can hire him longer. But I don't think Chelsea can just take him back this winter.

Which makes me wonder, how do the members here think about the construction with Chelsea? Alex and Alcides are owned by Chelsea, Salcido is partly owned by them too. Is it a good thing, since PSV could normally not afford these players, or should they break this connection?

About the chelsea construction, i think it's simply great. Both teams have an advantage. Seeing the fact these 'talents' can grow big at PSV, Chelsea can buy them 2/3 years later. Without Chelsea, PSV wouldn't even be able to get these kind of players. That's why i hope Lucas will come to Eindhoven, it's a super talent.
