Full Version: Two Goalless Draws For Newcastle

After not playing in the 0-0 against Middlesboro, Kluivert only got 20 minutes against Crystal Palace. Eventhough Kluivert did make an impression with a nice volley and an injustly disallowed goal, the game ended goalless. Kluivert still says he wants to continue at NuFC, but a transfer is getting more likely now.

I havenīt seen the goal myself, but I read that he was not offside. What about you? Have you lads seen the goal?

Well, he wants to stay and he never plays. Kezman, doesn't play, he wants to leave the club, but Patrick not. Why?
New U doesn't play Uefa next season, they are nog good AND he never plays. BUT he wants to stay. There is something happening.

That's why i think, he is affraid to leave. Maybe the chance is big that he will have no team next season, or a very bad one, like Napoli in Italy.
I hope i'm wrong ofcourse, but he acts very weird.

Not at all! He wants to show himself from his best side; by still doing a good effort to stay at NuFC! I don't see anything weird about that! And he doesn't have to be afraid for interests from clubs!

ok, but when he never plays, can he never shows his skill. it's better to show your skills in a club where you can play. And he knows that.
But still wanted to stay, that is what i doesn't understand;

I don't understand Sounnes, why doesnt he let Kluivert play a whole match, he has shown enough to deserve one whole match, but he always sits on the bench, I HOPE THAT KLUIVERT GOES TO MANU!!!!

nah.. Manu is very unlikely...

There are two possible reasons why Kluivert does not play for Souness.
1.Souness has already made up his mind and is trying to get Ameobi some playtime to see what he can do.
2. Kluivert is still bothered by injuries.

I, unfortunately have to go with the 1st.
It would be a big surprise if he is a Magpie next year.
We shall see, but either way he needs to show why he should start when he plays against Fulham.

There are more options! Option 2 is Certainly (with capital C) not the issue. Kluivert is perfectly in shape and can play 90 minutes without problem. However there are other options, like for instance Shearer doesn't like Kluivert. We all know what happened with players/managers who Shearer didn't like. Remember; when Shearer is being benched, the coach will be fired. Look to Robson.... he benched Shearer and it might look like Shearer would become bench-sitter this season. Immediately Robson was fired! Both Shearer and Souness had problems with Bellamy. Bellamy was shipped off to Ireland. Also Ruud Gullit revealed this week, that the striker he bought when he was at NuFC; Maric; totally failed at Newcastle because Shearer didn't like him.

Then it could also be that just the club AND Kluivert already have agreed on that they will part at the end of the season; but again; it's all pure speculation. However it does make sense; because Kluivert scored at all possible moments; and even a bad manager like Souness wouldn't bench him, unless there is another reason. Or Souness is just incredibly dumb; but I don't believe that. He wants to play Ameobi to try things for the next season. He was also yelling that he wants Dyer - Ameobi next year up front.

First I dont think anybody, but Shearer and maybe Given do anything quality in the eyes of Souness. To have Dyer and Ameobi in front next year is just stupid. They need a pure goal scorer. They have one, but I still think that the sevice of the Newcastles midfield has been the real breakdown of this club. The best games I saw were with Robert and Kluviert on the same side of the pitch. They seem to play well together.
Maybe it is because they are both outcasts of NUFC!
I would like him to stay only because I think he has something to prove, but I think he should leave if Souness is still the manager next year. Which I have no idea how the fans or the chairman could let that happen.

The last entry was mine
(11)Kluivert(11)
I was sitting right behind the goal in which Kluivert scored the goal on saturday that wasnt givin, he was no where near offside and scored a very good goal. In response to Kluivert been in perfect shape i disagree. He is bigger in terms of his weight since he missed all that time with the injury which is to be expected but i am really looking forward to him starting on wednesday against Fulham.
