The latest news: Miguel has finally (after 2 months of negotiating) signed for Valencia CF!

Portugal international Miguel signed a five year deal with La Liga giants.
Miguel left Benfica in July, saying his contract allowed him to do so.

However no club signed him on a free, as they were afraid to get punished by FIFA alla AS Roma.

Valencia did the smart move, and found an agreement with Benfica before they signed the Portugal champs’ former star.

It appears Benfica will gain around 8 million Euros from Miguel’s move to Los Ches.

Finally a good right-back for Valencia, althought I think Kromkamp would have been a better buy. I don't understand why Valencia didn't want to pay 8 million for Kromkamp, and now they do for Miguel. Anyway, I'm happy he's with Valencia now, I hope he will improve the defence.
