Don't underestimate Shakthar, at home, they can be very strong. I saw them playing couple of times. Shakthar has the same chances as Roma or Olympiacos.

Lyon 2 - Real Madrid 0

Fred and Tiago scored the goals for Lyon and they look like they could increase the lead :whistle
I forgot how good Juninho was ... Malouda was as always : Brilliant ( my favourite left winger ) and Abidal was great too ( Just what we need at arsenal to solve our left back problems

) .... Real Madrid sucked big time : Cassias dealt badly with a couple of shots and Emerson ... well I just don't know how he stayed and Beckham got substituted instead , Cassano doesn't deserve a place ahead of Reyes...
It's a shame if Lyon doesn't get anything from this CL too .... They have great players ... great team play and good ffotball

PSV ??? really ... I wasn't that convinced by what I saw yesterday , I would like to say Man Utd based on their form in the Local league ... But I haven't watched the game and a 3-2 win isn't that impressive ... It doesn't qualify them as Champion Materials ... This year if it's not going to be Arsenal ... I hope it will be LYON (point)

The highlights indeed looked great. It must have been a fantastic match. Even the great Levante-killer Van Góól couldn't save Madrid.
Manchester United-Glasgow Celtic was a very nice match too. Saha was quite impressive, I think he will have an important role this season.

Nothing changed in Chelsea since last season except for a few new signings : I doubt they are gonna change anything ... Chelsea still plays the same kind of football they played last season ... Chelsea does great in the EPL but they never were Champions league material ... I think Barca will go far in this competition again and Chelsea will may be make it to the semifinal ( tops ) ... A few new signings??? We are talking here about Shevchenko, the all-time topscorer of the Champions League and Ballack, Germany's only hope in the past decade! And then players like Salomon Kalou and Boulahrouz (one of the best defenders of the world; soon to be recognized) and Mikel (is going to be the best african player within the next 5 years I'm sure). Man; they are MUCH stronger now!

They are all big players , there's no getting away from that But Chelsea isn't any different from the way they were last season : in terms of efficiency that is ... Ballack , Shevshenko and Boulharouz , well their reputation proceeds them but Mikel

What's so great about him ... He rarely plays and when he does he looks like another Essien on the pitch ( Nothing special about him ) As for Kalou he shall prove to be the best signing for Chelsea this summer ( mark my words ) ... Barcelona is the big game for them now ... that's the biggest test for them ... if they prove themselves then they could be something ... Because really they had a good record last season untill they were kicked out by Barcelona
Barcelona is much stronger as last season. Their weakes point (defence) is on a higher level now, because of Zambrotta and Thuram. The midfield and attack is superb. Barcelona could only become stronger in the defence, and they did it.
So...
Who will stop 'Magic Barca'?

The best thing about Zambarotta is that he is more offensive than Oleguer or any other right back I could think of in Barca ... so they will look good on the defence and offence ... This signing will prove crucial for Barca

I think Essien is a good player but the " nothing special about him " part was referring to Obi Mikel ... I haven't seen him much from him ( maybe when he plays more I will see what you are talking about cause I didn't watch the U-20 competition ) besides there's Wright-phillips at Chelsea 's disposal and Joe Cole in injury so I think he won't get too much of a football this season
